CALL for participation in the 6th summer work-educational camp for youth (15+)

YOUNG TALENTS OF JASNA 25 at Lake Jasna in Kranjska Gora

Dear parents,

The winter season at Jasna has concluded, but we are preparing for another summer full of meaningful experiences for your children. This year, for the 6th time, we are offering YOUNG TALENTS OF JASNA a unique opportunity to learn important life skills, gain their first work experience, and have fun in the natural environment of Kranjska Gora.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL GAIN?

The Young talents of Jasna program is designed for young people aged 15 to 18 to:

Develop key competencies: Communication, teamwork, taking responsibility, and problem-solving.
Gain first work experience: Through practical work in various fields.
Learn independence: Without parents, but under professional supervision.
Enjoy nature: In one of Slovenia's most beautiful locations – by Lake Jasna.

WHERE WILL YOUR CHILD WORK?

Your child can choose one of the following positions:
🍦 ICE CREAM HOUSE: Preparing homemade ice cream and selling it by the lake.
🏄‍♂️ SUP RENTAL: Help guests choose the right SUP and teach them the basics.
🍽️ WAITER'S ASSISTANT: Working in the restaurant and learning about service.
👨‍🍳 KITCHEN ASSISTANT: Participating in meal preparation and discovering culinary secrets.
📞 (NEW!) JASNA RECEPTION: Become the first point of contact for guests. (For 17+ only).

DATES AND ORGANIZATION

The dates are set to allow you to drop off and pick up your child on Sundays. Work takes place in packages of 14 days (or more for older participants with experience, with a mandatory prior trial work weekend).

APPROXIMATE DATES:

June 14 – June 29, 2025
June 29 – July 13, 2025
July 13 – August 3, 2025
August 3 – August 17, 2025
August 17 – August 31, 2025
September 1 – September 14, 2025

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL RECEIVE?

Payment for their work: From €7.5 to €14 gross/hour (depending on position and experience)*
Warm meal: We provide lunch for your child.
Accommodation: If desired, your child can stay on-site (in Kranjska Gora)
Supervision and safety: Your child will be under the constant supervision of experienced mentors.
Ice cream tasting: On the first working day during shift changes, ice cream is available without limit – on the condition that they work normally according to the schedule the next day!

*With a valid student service referral; we also recommend the Student Service

HOW TO APPLY?

1. Complete the application: Your child should independently write and send an email to info@jasnaresort.com with the following information:

- Full name
- Date of birth
- Previous work experience (if any)
- Preferred dates (start and end)
- Position (ice cream, SUP, waiter's assistant, kitchen assistant, or reception)
- Team suggestion (if you wish to work with a friend)
- Where did you hear about this opportunity

2. Parents in CC: It is mandatory to add you in the email CC.

3. First round of applications: By April 2, 2025.

4. Introductory meeting:

- When: Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 10:00 AM
- Where: Jasna Chalet Resort, Kranjska Gora
- Who: You and your parents (mandatory for all first-timers).
